Decrease in corona occupation in hospitals continues | Inland

From Sunday to Monday, the number of corona patients in hospitals increased again after days of decline, but over a few weeks, the occupation will decrease.

There are currently 1754 corona patients in the nursing wards, 61 fewer than 24 hours ago. Although 209 new corona patients were admitted to the clinics, because even more people were allowed to leave the wards, the occupation fell.

There are now 595 seriously ill people with Covid-19 on the ICUs. That is one patient less than Monday. 31 new corona patients were admitted to the ICs, but because more people died or were allowed to leave the wards, the occupation fell.

According to Ernst Kuipers, chairman of the National Acute Care Network (LNAZ), an average of around 35 new corona patients are currently being admitted to ICUs every day, and that number continues to fall. However, the advancing omikron variant of the virus could lead to an increase in the number of Covid patients in hospitals in the short term.
