According to official information, the 55-year-old security guard died of a heart attack on Thursday. During the tragic event, he had been on night shift. The night was described as cold. It was 12 degrees below zero.
The death occurred near the construction site of the ice arena in Cortina d’Ampezzo. An investigation has been launched into the case.
According to AP, the state company responsible for infrastructure, Simico, did not supervise the construction site in question.
