Second division soccer team Hannover 96 has canceled its Christmas fan festival planned for this Tuesday. The reason is the death of a branch employee. “Hannover 96 mourns the loss of a colleague from the office who died in a tragic accident at the weekend,” the club announced on its homepage.
It was not possible to hold the event in the current situation, it continued: “We ask for your understanding that the 96 Christmas party planned for tomorrow, Tuesday, on the stadium grounds must be canceled.” The club did not provide any further information about the deceased or the accident.
