A Russian missile has hit a shopping center in the city of Kremenchuk, northeast Ukraine, says Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

More than a thousand people were in the building at the time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday in the Telegram online service.

He did not provide any information about the victims, but said: “It is impossible to even imagine the number of victims.” The shopping center is on fire. “It is useless to hope for decency and humanity from Russia,” Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.
