Basketball star Franz Wagner has confirmed that he will play for Germany at the European Championship in Latvia, Finland, Poland and Cyprus in summer.
“This is the plan”said the world champion in the “best occupation” format of MagentaTV. The 23-year-old from the Orlando Magic had recently left participation in the tournament in Latvia, Finland, Poland and Cyprus.
At the start, the German national team will play against Montenegro in the Finnish tampere on August 27th.
Brother Moritz not there for injury
Franz Wagner’s brother Moritz will not be there because of a knee injury. “I think, even if Moritz cannot play this year, we have a really good team again”said Franz Wagner.
With the DBB team, the two brothers won the World Cup title in 2023. At the Olympic Games last year, the German team finished fourth.
