Dayot Upamecano racially insulted – Bayern reacts

Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano was racially abused on social media after his red card in the Champions League round of 16 first leg at Lazio.

Upamecano had caused a penalty with a serious foul on Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen (67th minute). The Frenchman was shown a red card for his entry and will therefore miss the second leg on March 5th. Former Dortmund player Ciro Immobile (69′) took advantage of the opportunity from the spot to score the only goal of the encounter.
