The DAYDREAM collection for autumn/winter 2023/24 shows sensual femininity. The look defines effortless and modern styles. The new looks from DAYDREAM are pointed, modern and calm. The current collection balances self-assured silhouettes, striking textures and flowing lightness. The focus is on modernity, innovation and attitude. Contemporary looks that create the balance between comfort, glamor and “EVERYDAY ELEGANCE” are the core statement. At the top are the themes of value, timelessness and sustainability.
Katerina Grigoriadis – Head of Design DAYDREAM BY MAC – puts it in a nutshell: Lots of luxury! “The new self-image for volume and low rises in combination with high-quality materials are must-haves. Styling, posture and contour are the focus. The awareness of quality, timelessness and honest value were the driving ideas for the collection,” says the DAYDREAM chief designer.
Timeless tailoring and functional sportswear merge into an exciting new look. Clarity in the forms, clean washes, pure haptics and metallic surfaces further develop the sportiness. The combination of processing techniques from tailoring with the technical qualities result in a new, strong modernity.
Structures and wool looks play an important role in the new DAYDREAM autumn/winter collection 2023/24. The focus is always on a clean, noble character. Intelligent fabrics are used, which lose their typically cool feel due to special refinements and ensure a comfortable fit in the colder months of the year.
Special knitted looks with unusual jacquard designs and elegant colors convey modernity and timelessness. Technology yes, but please in chic! Flowing corduroy and crushed velvet qualities, wool looks made from high-twisted premium yarns and luxurious technical silk fabrics are an integral part of the collection.
The silhouettes are diverse, from straight to wide, bootcut and kick. A special focus for the coming season is on baggy and cargo styles. The focus is on new detailed solutions and special silhouettes on flowing materials. Low rises give the styles a new modernity.
The color spectrum is based on neutral tones: soft putty and silver-grey nuances, camel, winter white, various shades of black. The most important trend colors this season are deep, rich shades of brown, metallic silver and gray in all variations. Rich lime and purple form the highlights.
The weighting within the collection gives the denim part plenty of room for further development, both in terms of quality and variety of shapes. As in the past, the DAYDREAM design team continues to rely on high-quality, Italian denim qualities from Candiani. The focus is always on sustainability:
A major focus is on the certified, circular rigid denim: Worn jeans that have reached the end of their lives are 100% recycled. Every step of the production chain takes place within a 60km radius of Milan and is fully transparent and traceable. This is made possible by the partnership between Candiani Denim, Humana Italia and Filatura Astro. The recycled fibers are then spun with Candiani Blue Seed, an extra-long staple, pesticide-free cotton fiber. This organic cotton is sourced exclusively from Spain and Greece. Blending the long-staple cotton fiber with the recycled cotton creates an exceptional feel.
GOTS-certified qualities, sustainable dyeing and washing processes, resource-saving processes and the use of renewable raw materials such as e.g. B. Tencel (FSC certified), organic cotton and recycled elastane are an integral part of the collection. In addition, water and chemical-saving methods are used. On the one hand, the denim is dyed using the Indigojuice process, which uses less dye, chemicals and water, and on the other hand, Kitotex® technology is used. The Kitosan used for this is a 100% biodegradable material.
The new silhouettes emphasize the cooler and more casual style. Baggies, cargos, the dropped crotch, the low rises and the relaxed silhouettes reflect modernity. Straight cuts, wide cuts and boot cuts form the modern basics.
The denim washes are characterized by clarity and diversity. DAYDREAM chief designer Katerina Grigoriadis took inspiration for the washes from the Japanese denim archives. They imply the character and look of a single piece production – each wash is a one-off made with a lot of love for craftsmanship. Authenticity is the focus here!
