With a new upward gap (22,194 at 22:306 points), the DAX® continues its record hunting in the previous course of the year. Thanks to the 16th all -time high in 2025 (22,625 points), the German default values are now also trading above the Upper Bollinger Band. From a trading point of view, the upper limitation of the volatility indicator (act. At 22,400 points) can be used for short -term profit protection. The previous picture book performance ensures a “déjà-vu”, because the previous course of the year reminds us of the course development of 2015. Even then, the European stock markets developed better than their US counterparts. We have summarized the course comparison 2015/25 in the graphic adjacent due to the high synchronization (see chart). The good news is that the stock market rally continued until April before there was a sharp correction. The DAX® lost around 25 %from April to September 2015. Nevertheless, 2015 was a constructive year for the stock barometer. But the annual plus of 10 % had the German default values at the time at the end of January or in February. That is why the course comparison 2015/2025 is definitely a two -sided sword.
