Dave Roelvink gives people quite a scare. Shortly after relapsing into his cocaine addiction, he announced the breakup with his girlfriend Jazzlyn. “This is really different.”
Dave Roelvink’s traditional family life is over in one fell swoop. Dries Roelvink’s son turned out to be drinking and cocaine again at the end of September, despite the fact that he has a 2-year-old child. And now, shortly after returning from rehab, his relationship with Jazzlyn appears to be on the rocks.
Family separated
Dave announced the news yesterday via Instagram. According to him, the break is final. “I would like to tell you that me and my girlfriend have decided to end our relationship. 💔 Painful to have to accept that our family is falling apart, which I am so proud of.”
He continues: “The main reason for ending our relationship is that we have both felt for a while that we are only together for our son. I know from experience that a child needs two happy parents, because my parents used to stay together too long purely for my brother and me.”
Standard tune
Do the two have a beef with each other? No, Dave thinks. “Now the standard saying that we parted ways on good terms. But that’s really what the situation is. Fortunately, there is no argument and we have taken this painful decision together in good consultation.”
He continues: “We are going to ensure that our son feels as little of it as possible and have made good agreements about contact arrangements. I also work hard every day on my recovery and I am now focusing on our son and my family during this difficult period.”
Separately
There is according to the juice channel Juice Channel there really is more going on. “It would be better to leave out the standard tune. Sources tell us that the two have been separated for some time and even live separately.”
Dave and Jazzlyn did not part on good terms at all, the channel believes. “We have learned that the reason for the breakup largely has to do with Dave’s cheating habits. Really sad for her, but so typical. A DJ who seduces one after another during his bookings…”
What does Evert say?
What does Privé boss Evert Santegoeds, who maintains a warm relationship with Dries Roelvink, say about it? “It has of course been a bit quiet around Dave lately. That is often a good sign – certainly in his case – but not in all cases. This was quite surprising,” he says Show news.
He continues: “I must say that the break took place three weeks ago. They only announced it once they had gotten used to the idea themselves and had organized their new lives with two houses. The family has also been able to get used to the idea and that was necessary.”
‘It’s right’
Evert states that Dave is not lying at all. “The reason he gives seems to be correct, namely: you are only together for the child. Even though that boy is only 2, there is little point in doing that.”
He concludes: “I asked Dries: ‘Don’t you think he will have a relapse because of this?’ “No,” says Dries. ‘Precisely because of the joint decision, that might not be so bad.’ We will see in the new year.”
