After heavy snowstorms hit Los Angeles last week, Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl spent last Wednesday (February 22) helping out with the organization’s relief mission Hope of the Valley Prepare meat for 500 homeless people for 16 hours.

As early as 2018, Grohl spoke in an interview with “Uproxx” about his passion for grilling. He compared the grilling process to making music: “It’s the best feeling when you host these big barbecues. I give out food and everyone comes back for a second helping. It’s almost like some kind of performance.”

Hope of the Valley boss Rowan Vansleve posted a video of the singer preparing food on Instagram.

Furthermore, the Foo Fighters announced their first new concerts yesterday (February 28th). So far they had confirmed planned festival appearances for 2023 at Boston Calling, Sonic Temple, Rock am Ring and Rock im Park and Bonnaroo. The concerts now announced will take place from May to June this year in the following US cities: Gilford, New Hampshire (May 24); Rogers, Arkansas (June 14); Pelham, Alabama (June 16).

These performances will be the group’s first full concerts since Taylor Hawkins’ death in March 2022. So far, however, it is not clear who will replace him on drums.
