Not everyone thinks it’s an excellent idea that Noa Vahle travels to the World Cup in Qatar, because many people live there with ideas that are unfriendly to women. For example, René van der Gijp and Wilfred Genee wonder whether Linda de Mol’s daughter should go, but Johan Derksen thinks she is spicy enough to stand her wife there.

Noa gets it

Noa was in the studio of Today Inside last night. She said there that she will travel to Qatar next Saturday. “I understand that there is a discussion, also about the fact that statements have been made about being a woman. René said it, for example, of: should you go then?”

She continues: “I think: if they hate women so much, then I’m going to go, and then I’m going to do my job there and then I’m going to do it in the best possible way.”

Straw breed

Hélène Hendriks from the VI table: “Yes, but Noa, I don’t think you will be put in the way there.”

Wilfred: “Well, do you really think so?”

Hélène: “You can’t do much at all. That boycott still applies, so you can’t interview the players, you’re always third, fourth or fifth with Louis van Gaal.”

Johan positive

Johan is positive that Noa is indeed getting something done in Qatar. “You just have to be creative and hope that the people there are a little disrespectful to you, because those are beautiful images.”

He concludes: “Here you can make a name for yourself as a reporter. This is a real challenge and I think it’s great that you’re going as a girl. You also want to be treated like guys. Well, figure it out in Qatar, very good.”
