Darts talent Luke Littler writes history with a nine-darter in Bahrain

Darts talent Luke Littler has made history by becoming the youngest player ever to throw a nine-darter in the World Series in Bahrain.

The 16-year-old Englishman, who will turn 17 in two days, did this in the match he won 6-3 against his compatriot Nathan Aspinall. Littler completed the leg by throwing seven triple 20s, one triple 19 and double 12.

The Bahrain Darts Masters is the first tournament that Littler has participated in since his sensational breakthrough at the World Championship. In the final he lost to Luke Humphries.

Littler won the Bahrain Darts Masters by beating Michael van Gerwen in the final. The young Brit won 8-5 in legs. Van Gerwen had previously reached the final by beating defending champion Michael Smith.
