Arsenal did take the lead through Alessia Russo. In the eighteenth minute, Van Domselaar simply lost the ball in the build-up, from which Lyon attacker Melchie Dumornay took advantage in two instances. Five minutes later, Dumornay scored to make it 2-1 after another early loss of ball by Arsenal.
