The Dallas Mavericks in the North American professional basketball league NBA fear that Luka Doncic will fail at the start of the playoffs.
The 23-year-old Slovenian was injured at the end of the regular season and suffered a strain in his left calf, according to a report by “ESPN”.
It is still unclear whether Doncic will be able to play in the Texans’ first playoff game against the Utah Jazz on Saturday evening (7:00 p.m.). The Mavericks have yet to release a timetable for Doncic’s return.
The point guard is considered an outstanding player and the most important player in the Mavericks. For the first time since 2011, Dallas is back in the first round of the playoffs. Back then, Dirk Nowitzki and his colleagues won the title after a series of victories over Portland, the Los Angeles Lakers, Oklahoma City and Miami.
The Mavericks have not won another playoff series in the eleven years since their first and only championship.
