The first report of the accident on a cycle path on the Oranjebaan arrived around 4.30 pm. Due to an unknown cause, the Biro, a moped-like car, collided with three cyclists on the cycle path, said a police spokesperson.
According to people, the group would consist of students on the scene of the accident. The police spokesperson did not want to confirm this. “It’s a very fierce accident,” she said.
Many emergency services came to the accident, including a trauma helicopter. The cycle path and the Oranjebaan were closed for hours in both directions for research.
