A cyclist in Assen ended up in a ditch tonight and was injured. The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The accident happened on the cycle path at the intersection of the Balkenweg with Europaweg-Zuid. The cyclist ended up on the roadside due to an unknown cause and then fell into the ditch.
In addition to the ambulance, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee also came to provide assistance.
