Many emergency services were called to the Westelijk Havengebied in Amsterdam this morning. A hazardous substance has been released at an oil company on Mainhavenweg. It concerns a leak of a flammable product from the company. It is still unclear what exactly happened and what kind of dangerous substance was involved. Nothing has leaked into the water of the adjacent Mainhaven, says a spokesperson for the fire brigade. According to her, there is no danger to the environment.
