A cyclist who was seriously injured in an accident in Rijsbergen last Sunday. The police report this. It is a 57-year-old man from Breda. The driver of the car has been arrested.
The accident happened on Sunday morning around half past nine at the intersection of Noordhoeksestraat with Klein Oekelsestraat. The cyclist was part of a cycling group.
After the accident, a trauma helicopter landed at the intersection. The man was taken to the hospital with the ambulance under the supervision of a trauma doctor. How the accident could happen is still being investigated by the police. The driver of the car has been arrested.
Several passers -by ignored the deposition and warnings of the police on Sunday after the accident. One motorist took the crown and was fined.
