Fidanza, Venturelli, Guazzini and Consonni will compete for the world title against Germany
A medal immediately arrives for Italy at the Track Cycling World Championships, currently taking place in Santiago, Chile. The girls in the team pursuit Martina Fidanza, Federica Venturelli, Vittoria Guazzini and Chiara Consonni win it, qualifying for the final. Soon the Italians will face Germany with the gold medal at stake. The final for bronze will instead pit Great Britain and Australia, the latter defeated by Italy. In the men’s team event, gold went to Denmark, the reigning champion, who beat Australia. The bronze medal was won by New Zealand.
