Quinn Simmons pulled his girlfriend out of the hustle and bustle on the bouquet of Champs-Élysées to a quieter town, then he got to his knees.
The US bike professional from Team Lidl-Trek made a marriage proposal for his partner shortly after the final stage of the 112nd Tour de France-and she said (of course) yes.
Then Simmons hugged his Bald-wife and put the ring on her finger, as can be seen on a video of the US television broadcaster NBC Sports on social media.
“I ended the tour in the best possible way. I don’t think anything can ever exceed that,” said 24-year-old Simmons later at the Eurosport microphone.

She said “yes”. “I mean, who couldn’t do this with this selection?” Simmons joked: “She is always by my side. She accompanies me to every training camp, she always eats these boring meals with me.”
