The Alkmaarders therefore have a tough start to the second half of the season. The weekend after the meeting with Ajax, AZ will meet the number three of the Eredivisie FC Utrecht in the Galgenwaard stadium. A few days later there is the confrontation in Alkmaar with AS Roma in the Europa League.
For Ajax, the second half of the season starts a lot easier with the home match against bottom RKC Waalwijk. Then sc Heerenveen (away) and Rigas FS (away) are the opponents in the Europa League.
The eighth final match between AZ and Ajax can of course be followed live on NH Sport. There are no other North Holland clubs in the last sixteen teams in the cup tournament.
