Crown Prince Haakon of Norway has an important day today, as he celebrates his 50th birthday.

The publication says that the palace is now accepting congratulations from the public. The Prince’s anniversary is celebrated in private ceremonies.
Haakon’s birthday is celebrated more spectacularly in August. Haakon’s wife Princess Mette-Marit turns 50 on August 19. The two will hold a joint birthday party on August 25, which is also their wedding day. The party is planned to be held in the courtyard of the royal palace. The guest list includes people from all over Norway.
Haakon has two children with his wife Mette-Marit. Haakon is also stepfather to Mette-Maarit’s 26-year-old son Marius. Haakon and Mette-Maarit got married in 2001.
