Italy still on the podium in the category after the gold medals of Stefano Viezzi (2024) and Mattia Agostinacchio (2025)

A silver medal arrives for Italy at the Cyclocross World Championships in Hulst, Holland, which this afternoon will experience the highlight with the elite race in which Mathieu Van der Poel will be the big favourite. Filippo Grigolini, from Udine, born in 2008, was the protagonist of an excellent race and was in the lead until the last lap, when he was the victim of two falls that compromised his title, favoring the comeback of the Dutchman Heeren who went on to win. Second at 9″ was Grigolini (bronze to the Belgian Lejuen), who had finished third last year when Mattia Agostinacchio won. It is the second medal for Italy in this world championship, after Friday’s silver in the mixed relay time trial.
