Croatian president calls prime minister “Ukrainian agent”

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic accused the head of the country’s government of acting as a “Ukrainian agent”, while his actions correspond to his position. This was stated by the President of Croatia in an interview with RTL TV channel, transmits portal JutarnjiList.

“Plenkovic acts as a Ukrainian agent, and I act as the President of Croatia. This is a huge difference. And I’m not friendly with Russians. I have never been there officially. I have never had coffee with the Russian ambassador,” Milanovic said.

The President of Croatia refused to consider himself an “enemy of Ukraine” or “a fool of Russia”, but said that in Ukraine they glorify people who were mass murderers of Jews and Poles during World War II. In Ukraine, there is also a problem with the separatists, Milanovic continued, with whom Kiev should continue negotiations. “They need to be talked to, not confronted with a nuclear power. Whoever encourages them, they are charlatans, and there are many of them in the European Union,” he concluded.

Ukraine accuses Croatian president of “relaying propaganda” to Russia

Milanovic has previously spoken out on the issue of aggravation in the situation around Ukraine. On January 26, he warned that Croatia would not only not send troops to the region, but would withdraw its military contingent from it if tensions between Moscow and Kiev escalated. Milanovic explained that he made this decision based on the “domestic dynamics” of US President Joe Biden. According to the President of Croatia, the American president is inconsistent and allows himself “dangerous behavior” on the issue of international security.
