The then vice president, in the middle of a fiery speech where she criticized the opposition and journalism for alleged lies, released the phrase to emphasize that “we are all grown up now” and that certain things were obvious: “We are all grown up, enough old man. The Three Wise Men are the parents, let’s not hump anymore.”

She immediately realized the mistake and, thinking about the children who could be watching her – including her granddaughter Helena, who was 5 years old at the time –, she exclaimed: “Oops, my parents are going to kill me, right? Oh, I realized, I realized… Helena is looking at me. Please cut that part, the parents are going to kill me and rightly so.”

The moment generated laughter on stage and became instantly viral on social networks, where the topic became a trending topic. Users debated between the humor of the “blooper” and criticism for “revealing” the children’s secret in a massive political event, which was attended by President Alberto Fernández and the main official candidates.

The episode, which today circulates again in memes and compilations of political “files”, shows a more spontaneous and human side of CFK, in contrast to his usual combative tone. Four years later, the phrase continues to be remembered as one of the lightest – and accidental – moments of his discursive career.
