Hannover 96 is still in the training camp in Saalfelden. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo with Al-Nassr. The Lower Saxony is already going to trot.
Hannover 96 is also completing his training camp in Saalfelden, Austria this summer. But the stay of the second division club has a special side effect this time: While the Lower Saxony are housed there, the hotel is already preparing for a prominent consequences. On Sunday, Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo moves in with his club Al-Nassr FC.
And that has consequences for the Hanoverians: In order to protect the lawn for the Saudis and her star striker, the team of the new head coach Christian Titz has to move from the perfectly maintained training ground of the four-star hotel to the facility of the local sports high school. Coach Titz sees no problem in this: “The conditions are very good. The space is in very, very good condition.”
On July 20, the Hanoverians will go back home. The first competitive game of the new season is on the program on August 3 in front of a home backdrop against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
The training camp is organized by the Hamburg agency Onside. This summer alone, she hosts 146 training camps and more than 300 test games for various clubs.
Managing Director Henning Rießelmann, at the same time sports director Kickers Emden, told the “Hamburger Abendblatt”: “In the Al-Nassr training camp, Cristiano Ronaldo has 16 bodyguards. This is an extreme example of the special requirements of the clubs.” Onside works with Hamburger SV, FC St. Pauli, Werder Bremen, Hannover 96 and Al-Nassr.
