Crisis situation in Weesp after discovery of aircraft bomb: residents evacuated, train traffic halted

An unexploded aircraft bomb from the Second World War caused great unrest in Weesp on Wednesday afternoon. The explosive was found during excavation work on the Lange Muiderweg and halted train traffic around Weesp station for hours. Residents of nearby houseboats also had to temporarily leave their homes.
