Crisis contribution from energy producers would generate 4.7 billion euros | Energy prices

The crisis contribution from the energy and petroleum sector would yield 1.8 billion euros for this year. Next year, Van der Straeten is aiming for 2.9 billion euros.

For electricity companies, all income above the limit of 130 euros per megawatt hour would be taxed at 100 percent. For oil companies, the proposal provides for a tax of 1.5 cents per liter sold, which the companies are not allowed to pass on in the rates.
