Iss: 1988 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants

According to the ISS monitoring, the weekly incidence of Covid cases at national level continues to increase: 1988 per 100,000 inhabitants (07/01/2022 -13/01/2021) against 1669 per 100,000 inhabitants (31/12/2021 -06/01/2021, Ministry of Health flow data). In the period 22 December 2021 – 4 January 2022, the average Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was instead equal to 1.56 (range 1.24 – 1.8), a further increase compared to the previous week – when it was equal to 1.43 – and well above the epidemic threshold.
