Court heavily secured in murder case, ten years in prison demanded

The court in Breda has considered canceling the case of the murder of co-founder Michel Weiss of motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh in Breda. The reason was a threat, the court said. That is why there was a lot of police on Friday around the courthouse in Breda. In the end, the case went ahead and a prison sentence of ten years was demanded.

The criminal case about the murder, on November 14 last year, was to start Friday morning at nine o’clock. A report was made to the police on Thursday, the presiding judge said at the start of the trial. “The report said that things may happen inside or outside the building. We even thought of canceling the case altogether and doing it later in a secure court.”

Lawyer ‘packed three times in balls’
When entering the courthouse, everyone was checked extra extensively on Friday. It was forbidden for visitors to bring bags. The suspect’s lawyer Bisar Çiçek was even searched. “I don’t understand why I’m just now hearing this,” he said.

“I had to hit the wall with my hands, I was grabbed three times in my balls to see if there was anything in my underpants. And then I only now hear how serious that threat is.”

Suspect acquaintance shoot Weiss
Due to all security measures, the case started almost half an hour later than planned. Halfway through the afternoon, the Public Prosecution Service announced the demand: ten years against Peter L. from Breda for the shooting death of founder Michel Weiss of motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh.

L. confessed that he fired the fatal shots. That happened just in front of L.’s chalet on the caravan camp on the Nieuwe Inslag in Breda. Weiss is said to have come there furious because of an argument with his ex, L.’s sister. That argument became so heated, L. said, that he was afraid that Weiss would shoot them. He then shot himself five times, as appeared on images that were shown in court. According to the public prosecutor, there was no question of self-defense.

Motorcycle club violent
Motorcycle club Caloh Wagoh, now banned, has been central to the liquidation process Eris about five liquidations and several attempts to do so, presumably on behalf of Ridouan Taghi. Three leaders of the club have previously been sentenced to life in prison.
