The family drama is said to have taken place in a house in Beveren-Leie. The 61-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman were found at their home. A medical examiner was appointed and the laboratory also arrived on site for trace evidence.
“According to the initial findings, it is probably a family tragedy,” the public prosecutor’s office said. “The investigation into the precise circumstances of the deaths will continue under the leadership of the investigating judge in Kortrijk.”
