Eloise van Oranje, also known as a countinfluencer, is severely punished by one of the big eve stars of RTL 4: Rob Goossens. “She is stupid, flat and empty.”
It is an incredible PR blunder by Countess Eloise: she has antagonized many people by saying that they find being famous so annoying and that she would like to join Extinction Rebellion. Just like Carice van Houten. Huh?! But no one spends as much time on a plane as this princess’s daughter…
Flickering on Insta
RTL Boulevard star Rob Goossens points out that Eloise exploits her royal background to the fullest. “There is of course a whole air of mystery surrounding the royal family and then suddenly there is the king’s niece who is like: I’m just going to flash on Instagram my whole life. It’s quite strange that it attracts a lot of attention.”
During the swimsuit riot, Eloise had the audience with her, Rob continues The BLVD Podcast. “That was very good proof for her of how well she actually stood out among the general public and I actually thought at the time: she is keeping it up nicely, but lately I have seen people – including those around me – increasingly annoyed respond to her statements.”
Fly less
The biggest pain point? “That she said she would actually like to fly less, but she flies all over the world. Now again for a ski goggle brand! It all becomes a bit cheap and especially if you make such a gratuitous statement that you would like to fly less, ‘but yes’, and then you see trips that could easily be avoided.”
Eloise really can’t say that she wants to join Extinction Rebellion, Rob thinks. “It is possible that she has thought about that at some point, but then you also have to know: just keep your mouth shut for a moment. It seems so stupid, flat and empty.”
Polar bears
Colleague Luuk Ikink also finds Eloise not credible. “If you think that like Carice van Houten… I have the idea about her: practice what you preach. I think she does. I don’t think she’s flying all over the world anymore.”
Rob has his doubts. “I do not know. Her husband, of course, fled to Australia. I can imagine that sometimes the three of them would like to spend time with their child. I’m afraid that Carice is also on a plane sometimes. I sincerely believe that this causes Carice stress and she simply has to take medication for that flight.”
Polar bears
Why? “Because she feels very guilty for the polar bear that unfortunately dies as a result of that specific flight.”
Eloise will not have that, according to Rob. “No. I think she spent the entire flight counting her money from the proceeds of that influencer deal…”
