When Rose confirms that the little girl is mistreated by her family, she makes a radical decision: kidnaps the girl simulating her disappearance so that together they can start a new life as mother and daughter.

With an abusive stepfather and a mother who literally throws her away, Lisa feels like Rose is the mother she never had. And as viewers will soon discover, the teacher sees herself reflected in this little girl. As the police investigate Lisa’s disappearance, Rose must seek refuge with her mother and her foster sisters, whom she hasn’t seen in 10 years.
