Coach Daniel Thioune from the second division soccer team Fortuna Düsseldorf went into quarantine after a positive rapid corona test.
The regular test series also brought positive results for striker Robert Bozenik and athletic trainer Andreas Gross on Monday, the club said. The result of the PCR tests to confirm the cases is still pending.
Thioune gave Fortuna some air in the second division relegation battle.
After three wins and a draw under the successor to the dismissed Christoph Preusser, Düsseldorf are four points ahead of relegation place 16. On Saturday (1:30 p.m.) Fortuna will play at SC Paderborn.
