Construction federation Embuild warns: “Population growth and overcrowding will force the construction of possibly nine new prisons”

Nine new prisons may have to be built in Belgium over the next 25 years to tackle the problem of prison overcrowding and the general population growth in our country. Construction federation Embuild said this on Thursday. The health and care infrastructure also urgently needs to catch up.
