Passers -by saw the man around 6 pm on the Hoep in Schagen. “He walked naked on the street,” said a police spokesperson. “That is of course not allowed.”
Several police officers approached the report. “At that time, the man was a danger to himself and his environment. For the agents, the situation became so threatening that they decided to tax the man.”
The victim then jumped into the water. The emergency services removed the man from the water and then transferred to auxiliary agencies.
‘Heavy remedy’
“The use of a taser is a heavy tool. We don’t use that often,” says the police spokesman. “He is not prosecuted, but has been taken care of and is now staying in a safe place.”
