Alternative rock icons since the 1990s
Garbage have been musically active since 1993. The band around singer Shirley Manson combines rock, electronic and pop with socio-political lyrics. Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is Garbage’s eighth studio album. Immediately after the release, the band went on tour in 2025 and presented the new material live for the first time as part of a concert tour through New Zealand and Australia. The performance at the Sydney Opera House, which took place on December 14th shortly after a deadly anti-Semitic attack on Bondi Beach, received particular attention. During the concert, Shirley Manson addressed the audience directly several times and spoke about the increasing escalation of intolerance and violence worldwide.
