Concerns about the organization Wintergloed, mayor reassures: “continues in full glory”

The company Act Lighting Design has been in a judicial reorganization since June, and was protected from its creditors until last week. According to N-VA, the company has also stopped paying many subcontractors for a while.

“The city is aware of the situation at the company,” says Mayor Dirk De fauw. “We protect ourselves against keeping the money for the suppliers in a third-party account for the time being. In any case, Wintergloed will continue in full glory.”

The construction of Wintergloed and the winter atmosphere in Bruges will start in three weeks. “We expect 1.2 million visitors in our city. So we are going to save money, but at the same time we also want to invest in atmosphere and cosiness. They do this with as much energy-efficient LED light as possible, and for the third year there will be an ice skating rink.
