Care for one of the most successful coaches of the NBA: Gregg Popovich was hospitalized on Tuesday after a medical incident. According to ESPN, the 76-year-old is now at home and “well”.
Previously, the celebrity portal TMZ had reported that Popovich had been removed on a stretcher in a restaurant. There was no danger to life. Since a stroke last November, the long -time coach has been missing the San Antonio Spurs. Interim coach Mitch Johnson took responsibility on the sidelines during this time. The Spurs ended the season as 13th of the Western Conference and missed the play-offs. In February, Popovich said that he continued to concentrate on his recovery – with the aim of being able to work again as a coach in the future.
The American has been head coach in San Antonio since 1996-longer than any other coach in the NBA at a club. With the Spurs he won five championships (1999, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2014) and is at the top of the main round of the coaches in the main round (1412 victories) and in the play-offs (170 victories).
