Position unclear

It is still uncertain with which eleven players Dick Lukkien will start tomorrow against VVV, as there is a question mark behind the names of Jeroen Veldmate and Ole Romeny. Veldmate had been ill in recent days and Romeny was struggling with an ankle injury. Metehan Güçlü is missing anyway, although the injury the striker sustained during yesterday’s training is not too bad. According to the latest reports, the Turkish-French striker can play again within the next two weeks.

The possible replacements for Veldmate and Romeny are Luzaydio and Van Ooijen.

Euphoria

The players of FC Emmen were very euphoric after the dazzling show against FC Volendam. “It was fun,” said Rui Mendes. “There can be about ten thousand people in the stadium, but I had the idea that there were thirty thousand.” The Portuguese has been Emmen’s top scorer since Monday. “That’s nice, but to be honest I’m not concerned with it. It’s about the club and the results. Who makes the goals in the end is not so important.”

‘This must be our standard’

Before the game against FC Volendam, goalkeeper Michael Brouwer received the Bronze Shield from his father as best goalkeeper in the third period. “That I get the prize from my father is nice, but it doesn’t tell me much else. The same applies to the third period title. That is not the price we want.” Brouwer had enjoyed the first half against Volendam, but was disappointed with the second half and especially the goal against. “I don’t think we should run into something like that in a game like that.” However, according to the least passed goalkeeper of the Kitchen Champion Division, nothing has been decided yet after the resounding victory over Volendam. “Just look at Excelsior, which was second for a long time. That team loses a few times and is now suddenly a few points behind. That is why we should not look too far ahead or calculate our empire. We just have to keep winning matches. should be our goal and that first half against Volendam should be our standard.”
