Thomas Voigt, long -time Vice President Group Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of the Otto Group, leaves the retail group.
Voigt, who has been working for the Hamburg -based company for 22 years, hands over the scepter to Annette Siragusano on March 1, 2026, said the Otto Group on Friday. Martin Zander acts as a deputy in the field of corporate communication, while Bernd Rakers continues to head the Berlin public Affairs office of the Otto Group. Both report directly to Siragusano.
“With the change from Thomas Voigt to Annette Siragusano, a successful era is coming to an end and an equally new one will certainly start,” said Petra Scharner-Wolff, CEO of the Otto Group. “We are extremely happy to have found an extremely experienced, agile and strategically experienced communicator and team player for this demanding task with Annette Siragusano, with which we will continue to set standards in corporate communication in very challenging times.”
From your own ranks
The new head of communication comes from her own ranks. Siragusano has been working as a Division Manager Group Corporate Communications in the Otto Group since October 2022. Before that, she was responsible for the company communication of listed comdirect Bank AG for many years and worked as a global head content strategy and cross channel campaign management of the real estate service provider Engel & Völkers Group.
Her future deputy Martin Zander gained experience as a state policy correspondent for the news agency DDP and as an editor for the TV station SAT.1. Afterwards, the lawyer and journalist was editor-in-chief at the MHOCH4 and Senior Vice President Communications in the Yapital online payment system developed by Otto, before becoming a Division Manager Group Corporate Communications of the Hamburg Commercial Group in May 2016.
