The German national ice hockey team has conceded a bad home defeat in the international match against the Czech Republic. The team lost 0: 7 (0: 2, 0: 2, 0: 3) in Regensburg).

That was the highest defeat for the German team since May 2019. David Moravec (9th), Jiri Cernoch (19./26.), Marian Adamek (37th), Daniel Kurovsky (50th), Tomas Kundratek (55.) and Adam Kubik (58.) were successful for the Czechs who had won the World Cup last year.

Like Germany, guests still had to do without numerous established forces, only two players from the world championship squad were on the ice.

Slight mistakes in the German team

Germany found the game well in front of 3503 spectators, but the district team got into trouble due to slight mistakes. Goalie Florian Bugl had a shot slipped into the short corner, then Roman Kechter played a fateful misfirement.

In the second third, the Czech Republic continued, the Germans remained lucky on the offensive. Even in the final section, the Czechs did not subside.

Kader still incomplete

Kreis still lacks some World Cup candidates for various injuries – among others goalkeeper Mathias Niederberger and striker Yasin Ehliz from Red Bull Munich. In addition, the players of the DEL semi -finalists Eisbären Berlin, Adler Mannheim, ERC Ingolstadt and Cologne Haie are not yet available – as well as the professionals from the NHL.

The two teams meet again on Saturday (April 12th, 200). Daach follows a test game double pack in Slovakia (April 17th and 19th). On April 24th and 26th, Austria is the opponent twice before the World Cup general rehearsal against the United States increases on May 4 in Düsseldorf.

The World Cup begins for the selection of the German Ice Hockey Association (DEB) on May 10th against Hungary. Other opponents in the preliminary round group B in Herning are Kazakhstan, Norway, Switzerland, the USA, the Czech Republic and co-host Denmark.
