In a dialogue with News Magazine, those responsible for the company review their origins, their challenges and the vision of the future that drives them.

How was born Color Project and what vision motivated them in their first steps?

Color project was born more than three decades ago in the city of Buenos Aires, in full boom of photocopy and color printing. From the beginning, our goal was clear: democratize access to technology and bring it closer to entrepreneurs – librerías, printers, designers, copied centers – that sought to grow.

A disruptive business model, which combined added value with accessible financing, allowed us to quickly become a strategic partner for thousands of entrepreneurs.

What was the biggest challenge on the way to consolidate as leaders in 3D printing?

The great challenge was to always keep us at the forefront. The 3D impression was investigating a long time ago and in 2020 we decided to introduce it in the country, just when the pandemic accelerated the need for innovative solutions.

In that context, the demand for printers and filaments multiplied, especially in the medical sector. We knew how to respond with organization, technical excellence and adaptability.

What differentiates the color project in an increasingly competitive market?

We offer a broad and diverse portfolio: more than ten brands of printers – with special focus on Bambu Lab – and both local and imported production filaments. In addition, we arrive at customers through multiple channels: e-commerce, free market, marketplaces, sellers network, their own premises in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Montevideo and São Paulo.

Our differential is that we not only sell teams: we build a training ecosystem through Toolbox, an exclusive educational platform for customers.

Innovation is part of the company’s identity. How is it reflected in everyday life?

Innovation is in our infrastructure and in our dynamics. We move offices to Puerto Madero, we inaugurate a 6,000 m² distribution center in Florencio Varela, and opened premises and showrooms at strategic points.

We also participate in national tours, exhibitions and training. In addition, we launched Toolbox, certified by the University of Córdoba, and promote 3D classrooms in schools and universities in the country.

What sectors will be the next great beneficiaries with 3D impression?

The scope is transversal: from independent makers to large industries. Currently, items such as merchandising, awards, toy store and cotillion already apply it, but they also do it strongly medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, architecture and automotive industry.

How do customers accompany beyond the sale?

With a technical department of more than 30 specialists, guarantee and stock of spare parts. And with a constant training policy: those who acquire a team access three free months in Toolbox, with courses ranging from initial to advanced.

A key step was the inauguration of the Maker Bambu Lab & Project color at the University of Córdoba, with ten latest generation printers and the beginning of the first intensive course approved by the institution.

What values define color project identity?

Our absolute commitment to the client and constant innovation. We believe that every problem has a solution and that the closeness, added to the technological avant -garde, are key to sustaining leadership.

How do they project expansion in the next five years?

We are going through a stage of strong growth, with medium and long term projects. We bet on new 3D printing applications in sectors such as medicine, construction and education, with the goal of continuing to lead technological evolution in the region.

What place will 3D impression have in the daily life of people and companies?

The 3D impression ceased to be novelty to become an indispensable tool. Reduces costs, shorten production times and allows unprecedented customization. In a short time it will be common in homes, offices, schools and industries.

If they had to define color project in a single sentence, what would it be?

“Where there is an entrepreneur, there is a color project.”
