In 2022, Coldplay was in the stadium for six evenings, also for the Music of the Spheres Tour. In total, more than 13 million tickets were sold for the tour. According to the BBC, so many admission tickets have not been sold for any other tour.
Strikes
The band had to move the last concert for a week due to the strikes in the public transport of London. “I know that has caused a lot of nuisance for you,” Frontman Chris Martin told the fans present. “As a goodbye we will play fifteen times better than whatever show we have done before.”
The Music of the Spheres Tour started in 2022 in Costa Rica. The Tour traveled through Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. In July 2023, Coldplay was in the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. Martin promised the audience that the Tour would continue “somewhere in the south of Africa in about eighteen months.”
