It is also possible later this afternoon and it is almost certain that some snow will temporarily remain in the heaviest showers (in the north). At most a few cm, but if a heavier shower comes, it could be more. It is cold, but we still get 3 to 5 degrees during the day with a moderate northwesterly wind.

Some more structured squall lines may also form from the North Sea during the later afternoon. In that case, more winter precipitation may occur that will reach further west. We are monitoring this because there are certainly possibilities for a few clustered rain systems to move further south. Some regional models indicate a clear cluster from 3-4 o’clock this afternoon that would affect the north and center of the region as well as the Central and East coasts.

It will be dry in the evening and night, although showers are still possible, especially in the north. Possibly one elsewhere too. In that case, it would be a snow shower and if there were snow somewhere during the night, it could freeze a bit harder locally. In general, the minimum temperatures are around or just above freezing point, with frost on the ground everywhere and therefore a chance of slippery roads everywhere! Especially where there is snow.
