Schools and other public spaces will remain closed on Monday, while the showers will certainly continue until Tuesday evening. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has called on residents to follow the instructions of emergency services.

Earlier, a precipitation sum was predicted of up to 200 millimeters. For comparison: during the storm of last year, 400 millimeters fell.

According to the newspaper El País, it was raining in the L’Horta Sud district in Valencia, which was hit hardest last year, already on Monday morning. Because the showers were short -lived and the water level has already dropped, the consequences for that area are not too bad for the time being.
