The KNMI issued code yellow this morning for Drenthe, among others because of dense fog. In the province, the view can be less than 100 meters locally, which can lead to dangerous situations on the road.
The warning applies to the early morning hours, between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m. Motorists are advised to adjust their speed and to keep sufficient distance.
In the course of the morning the fog gradually raises. In addition to Drenthe, code Geel also applies in Groningen, Friesland, Noord-Holland and Zuid-Holland.
