Carlo Ancelotti has been on the Real Madrid sidelines for years. However, that could change in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti will apparently end his time as Real Madrid coach at the end of the current season. This is reported by the Spanish radio station “Onda Cero”. The 65-year-old would thus complete his second term at the Royals after four years. Sporting successes and possible title wins therefore play no role in his decision.
Ancelotti, who was on the sidelines at Real Madrid between 2013 and 2015, returned in 2021 and has since led the team to several successes, including three Champions League titles.
The Italian still has a contract until 2026, but according to the report he plans to seek a new challenge. There is talk of a possible role as national coach. However, which country he could take over in the future remains open.
