Longtime spouse of Oscar-winning actor-director Clint Eastwood, 94 Christina Sandera died in July of a heart attack at only 61 years old.
Eastwood’s son, noted filmmaker Scott Eastwood, 38, opens People-magazine about her father’s current health six months after losing his spouse.
– He is doing well, very well. He is a survivor, a soldier, Scott says to the magazine.
– It runs in our blood. We don’t complain. We don’t argue. We just do, Scott adds.

Scott points out that his father was born during the Great Depression in the 1930s.
– He was young during the Second World War. He saw a lot of combat when he was young. We can’t afford to complain at this point, says Scott.
Eastwood and Sandera dated until 2014. They met when Sandera was working at the restaurant at the Mission Ranch hotel owned by Eastwood in California.
The couple did not talk about their relationship to the public almost at all. However, Sandera was with the star, for example, at movie premieres and award galas. For the first time he represented publicly at the 2015 Oscars, where Eastwood directed American Sniper-film was nominated in several categories.
Eastwood described his spouse for the first time in public only after her passing.
– Christina was a wonderful and empathetic woman. I will miss him very much, Eastwood described after death.
Although they are 33 years apart in age, the relationship started quickly. In the same year, the first photos of Sandera were made public. Insider tips said that Sandera would have moved into Eastwood’s 20 million mansion, which he actually built for his ex-wife.
The last time the couple was seen in public together was in 2019. In November 2022, they were reportedly seen for the last time on social media on the Instagram account of the Oscar winner’s daughter. According to insiders, Sandera was accepted and liked by Eastwood’s offspring.
