CLaudio Baglioni rethink us, to the delight of his fans. The Roman artist, in fact, may no longer take leave of the scenes. During the Sold Out concert at the Teatro della Pergola in Florence, Sunday 4 May, The singer -songwriter gave the public a memorable evening made of music, narration and a sudden uncertainty about his artistic future.
The tour Tris flight planwhich provides for about 300 dates until 2026, had been announced that his gradual farewell to the scene. Yet, in the heart of an intense and generous performance, three and a half hours alone, accompanied only by its three piano, Baglioni launched a phrase that has turned on new hopes among the fans: “I, the rest, postponed it for a while again.” And immediately afterwards, almost softly: “Maybe I should make a new album.”
An artist still full of energy
Whoever was in the room perceived that that was not a joke thrown there by chance. Baglioni, 73 years old with elegance and awareness, gave birth to a vibrant concert-tank, where the classics alternated with lesser known songsembroidering an emotional mosaic that involved and overwhelmed the public. The energy shown on stage, without pauses, without accompaniment, denies the image of an artist ready to retire from the scenes. The “journey to landing”, so Baglioni he had described his leavenow seems to have changed to course. The phrase on the new disc, pronounced between the lines, sounds like a temptation: The desire to create again, to write, to stay.
Claudio Baglioni’s long goodbye
What was supposed to be the last tour was designed as a gift: bringing one’s music everywhere, “where the public lives”, as Baglioni himself explained, to return at least a part of the affection received in over fifty years of career. But precisely that affection, manifested constantly, could be the key to change.
The reaction of the room, applause, laughter, emotion, has shown how much the audience is still hungry for its presence. What if that “perhaps” mentioned in Florence was actually the beginning of a new chapter? For now, the mystery remains. But Baglioni’s words, even when they seem to read, are never pronounced by chance.
